Harvard’s 85-year study on happiness – the Harvard Study of Adult Development (Harvard Second Generation Study (adultdevelopmentstudy.org) - found that the most important thing for your health and happiness is your relationships.

In this 2015 TED Talk (Robert Waldinger: What makes a good life? Lessons from the longest study on happiness | TED Talk), Dr. Robert Waldinger, the current study director, explained three lessons from the study:

1. Social connections are really good for us – people who are socially connected are physically healthier and live longer.

2. It’s the quality of your relationships that matters, not the number.

3. Good relationships effect our bodies and brains.

Those most satisfied at 50 with their relationships were healthiest at 80. Investing in your relationships at all stages of your life is one of the best things you can do for your wellness!
